Cold Pressed Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Rich in phenolic compounds, phospholipids, fat-soluble vitamins
and with the balanced relationship between saturated, unsaturated
and polyunsaturated fatty acids, the Coratina extra virgin oil has
significant health properties: It is highly digestible, helps to keep the
LDL (bad cholesterol) low and is a good ally in cardiovascular disease
prevention. The Coratina tree is a native cultivar armed
with polyphenols like few of the 538 classified Italian varieties.

Description

Obtained from a careful selection of Coratina olives,
harvested exclusively from our olive trees in the “Strappete”
district (countryside of Ruvo di Puglia).
Traditionally we don’t wait for the olives to fall due to over-ripening,
but we hand-pick the olives from the tree when
the fruit are at their best in terms of ripeness.
The Strappete extra virgin has an intense and persistent
fruitiness, with a strong scent of freshly pressed olives,
and a clear hint of green and artichoke.
Warm and bright, its golden colour is streaked with green
reflections.
A gentle, spicy tone gradually yields on the taste of sweet
almonds, leaving your mouth contented and clean.
The strong and lively taste, but harmonious on the palate,
expresses the robust character of this oil, suitable
for supporting with aroma and fl avour soups, grilled meats
and legumes. Served raw is perfect to complete the dishes
of our Apulian cuisine.
